What if Material design was still defined by a philosophy or paper and ink? How would it have evolved to rival something like “Liquid Glass” in a much more warm, tactile, and human way? I was always mesmerized by the philosophy behind the original Material design and was sad when it seemed they started to shift away from it with M3. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the current Material Design, but think of how incredibly fascinating it might have been to refine the paper and ink aesthetic for the improved graphical processing capabilities of computers today? And the upcoming XR system? 🤩

This is something I’m very curious about exploring and trying to visualize a digital paper and ink design system that’s much more refined, whimsical, and even more stunning. I think we can make something pretty magical! ✨😏
