As a former Pixel Superfan and enthusiast for literally everything Google, it’s awesome to find something that I like even more and feels even closer to me. So many empty promises, broken pieces, and continued degradation in Google’s digital kingdom made me realize that I need to build a domain of my own. One free from the whims of a bunch of investors that decide what matters. I realized that I can build my own kingdom and that it would be a lot more fun, more personalized, and continuously evolve with me throughout my life. Something Google and other big corporations may never be able to offer. Idk, I guess we’ll see. But for now, I’m abandoning them.

This journey started years ago though when I started slowly and intentionally removing pieces of my life from giant walled tech gardens. Working towards a minimal tech footprint. Minimalism is something I’m obsessed with and its been tough to figure out with digital things cuz so much of tech is locked down and complicated for people to understand all the moving pieces and technical details. I’m pretty good with tech and know quite a bit and it’s still complicated for me. No wonder it’s easy for people to stay inside the walled gardens of tech.

But it’s honestly so freeing to break down the barriers, the hedgerows and perfectly manicured gardens of big companies to roam free and build my own garden. My own personal space that matches who I am, what I love, how I feel. It looks how I want and works how I want. I’ve totally reconstructed my digital experience and identity to match my core values and to be something that can grow with me throughout the rest of my life. And I’m absolutely stoked about continuing on this journey! 🤩🔥
