I’m really trying to figure out what I want to do with tags, categories, and authors on One Quest. There’s quite a few options and I’ve already explored some. I’d like to keep a simple system and not have to navigate tons of categories and tags, I think……
It’s a lot of complexity to wrangle, but I’m givin it all I’ve got! 💪😮💨

The new auto desktop feature for large Android screens on Firefox so far seems 🔥!! Exactly what I was expecting when I started using Firefox on a large display last year. Thank you!!

Been using someone else’s Funkwhale instance for a bit and I decided to finally try setting up my own! I’m SUPER excited to be trying it out!! 😍
It’s an experiment to primarily see how deeply I can customize the feel and branding through their CSS editor thing. And second, to see how much I like managing my own and just in general to be able to dive more into Funkwhale.
I’ll share more details soon if it ends up being something I want to keep investing in. Otherwise, I do hope to enjoy Funkwhale on a different instance and start creating my music sanctuary. 🎶🌟

I really don’t want to wait for Funkwhale 2.0!! I’m seriously SO stoked for it to drop! I really want to see how much it levels up the Funkwhale experience, and I really hope the federation/social features are really solid and fun.
The more I wait, the more the excitement builds!! ✨ It’s funny but I’m actually really excited to build my personal music collection again and hopefully host it in a space that feels more like me. 🤩

Trying to decide how I want to organize and design the third page of One Quest. It’s gone through many iterations but is currently called “Notes”, which was a temporary placeholder name while I work on the branding, design, IA, and many other pieces.
Also not sure if I want just micro blogging posts and images, or maybe if I also want longer form articles. Like maybe I can do a monthly kind of update thing that’s more thoughtful and detailed (but not too much cuz who wants to read that much 🤪).

I really wish there was a variant when buying an Android computer to exclude the wireless charging coil. It was a cool idea, but it’s been executed very poorly imo. The biggest issue I’m aware of being that it heats the battery more causing faster degradation. Plus, now with passthrough charging (which I’m fairly positive wireless doesn’t support cuz how could it?), there’s not much benefit I get from wireless charging that could outweigh the costs.
But that’s my personal take on it, hopefully other people are enjoying it.

I tested out the official ActivityPub plugin extensively last year and ultimately decided to put it on pause for multiple reasons. Primarily:
- Inability to get the full AcitivityPub experience without additional plugins that ended up being both too complex and honestly not very well built for my needs.
- Specifically I wasn’t able to follow other people, see their content and interact
- No Android native experience
But now I’m hoping to start testing again! I’d really like to use what I’ve built here to not just share content but connect with other people and see what they’re sharing. Something kinda like how Ghost seems to be doing it with their ActivityPub integration.
Anyway, I’ll revisit this with more details later.

ActivityPub needs to become a core pillar of the internet imo, so everything can be federated. 🤩 I have so many ideas for federating all the things and I want to make them real, but need a dev friend to help. 😂 I feel like the Internet would be so much more fun this way though!
