While I don’t agree with everything Mozilla does or how they do it, I’m genuinely curious and tentatively excited about where they’re going. Maybe it will crash and burn, but maybe it won’t? Either way, I agree that building the future together is (and always has been) the best way to move forward! 😁 If AI is gonna stick around, I want a community of open people building it rather than a few closed corporations.

Aw man, I really wish Firefox OS would have taken off. Feeling nostalgic for it and remembering how excited I was when it launched! 🤩

After almost 2 years of struggling to find a community on WordPress.org, it feels really great to be shifting to WordPress.com! 🤩 Hopefully one day I can find an open source hosting alternative, but I finally feel like I have support and a space where I can join the conversation. I feel like I can breathe again and focus more my digital identity and experience! I have a sound board where I can go when I’m blocked and move past issues rather than getting stuck. Will it last? We’ll see.
Another benefit is that WordPress already requires a WordPress and Gravatar account for certain features (at the moment). Hopefully one day these things will be better on WordPress.org and across the open social web! 😁

This is the first year I haven’t watched the Pixel launch since eagerly awaiting the original Pixel and being over the moon about it. Its weird, but also cool and a bit refreshing. I’m more exited about where Fairphone is going, but we’ll see where things go over the next few years. I think it’s gonna get very interesting with the 2027 battery mandate from the EU 🧐😁

What would it take for a foldable device to become my device of choice? In order to justify the incredibly high price tag that foldable devices currently have these are the requirements I have.
- Solid stylus support
- Preferably also built on and open standard like USI
- Repairable by me. Think something like the Fairphone with a minimum of battery, USB- C port, camera components, etc.
- Modular components I can either add or swap
- Things like lens attachments
- Completely modular removable camera for bigger battery like the ARA
- Interesting colors (not the most basic and boring ones from the yearly lineup).
- Pro level cameras (not downgraded from what other high end pocket computers have).
- Display out and passthrough charging (pretty sure this already exists, but it better not be removed, and if it doesn’t exist it needs to be added).
Pretty sure, that’s it, but I may have missed a few things. I’ll try to update if I think of anything else.
